Welcome racers and skiers of CMSC. We will be hosting all of your events this weekend at the North area lodge. Registration, tickets and awards will be help upstairs in the North Lodge. Please enter and park at KB North (no buses over the bridge please) The picnic room known as the Alpine Room will be reserved for your group all weekend and the North Bar will be reserved from 8am Sat. through the early afternoon. The Alpine room is connected to the bar area and is semi private. You may store bags etc. in this area (please no skis inside). We race a dual slalom format on Slalom run. The fastest masters in the east run this hill at 26 gates and cover it in around 25 seconds. We plan on resetting the course once if needed. The snow as of Thursday is perfect for racing, very hard, but not icy by east coast standards. It should be warm and sunny Saturday, perfect for a frosty beverage on the deck, but the trade off is that the snow may soften up a bit into the afternoon. KB is 100% open, but with the sun comes the crowds, CMSC has private indoor space and the race hill reserved for the day so please respect the other skiers sharing the slopes and lifts through the day. Tickets should be worn on your goggle strap if you will be taking off your jacket to race. A single line will be set, please use this as intended and pair up with the first available group in the main corral. Bruce Heine will be the chief of race and he sets a great course, so enjoy and I look forward to toasting the day at race end with you!
