Nothing stuck to the ground, but a few big wet flakes held their own against the rain drops this afternoon and the front page of this site has lows below freezing and a chance of a snow through the week. Still early, but you gotta start somewhere. Turn up your collar and greet Old Man Winter with a cheerful and welcoming smile, he is lurking even now in the valleys and forests, preparing to bring us a  season to remember!
