A few degrees colder last night and we may have had a major and record breaking lake SNOW event. As it is we are just all wet. Now, no one wants snow more than I, but... even a meathead ski racer like myself is not ready for another  early to mid October snowstorm. We need a little time to wrap up a summer's worth of fun and transition gracefully into ski season. Up North in the Adirondacks and Vt. however winter comes early and I just found a great skier focused east-coast weather site. For those willing to put on a few miles turns will be available in the backcountry and even some resorts before the leaves are gone from the treeline. Close the pool, put in the wood and tune up the snow-blower, this winter promises to be a hard one it will be here soon!
